Baker Days | Starbucks Chocolate Cake Review* & GIVEAWAY!!! (CLOSED)

When Baker Days contacted me asking if I wanted to try out one of their cakes, I simply couldn't say no. Who doesn't love free food? And free cake is even better - even if it did mean cheating on my diet a little! I wanted to get a little creative with this post, I love reviewing and trialling products of course but this time I decided to try out something a little different. As Baker Days have such a wide and extensive range of designs, I opted for the chocolate Starbucks cake, where the creativity of such a company allowed me to recreate the Starbucks experience right from the comfort of my own home!

I opted for a letterbox sized cake retailing at £14.99. This is a really ideal size as just as it says in the name, it can be posted straight through your letterbox! Although online this says it serves around 3 to 4 pieces, I found when cutting into quarters 6 pieces could easily be made. The package was so beautiful, arriving in a sweet little 'Just for you' tin which I'll definitely be keeping!! Accompanied with three mini packets of love hearts which was so sweet! I adore the simple little touches Baker Days added, it has made my experience with their product and company that little bit extra enjoyable.

And now onto the Starbucks experience! I decided to keep a Starbucks cup from a previous visit to the store (I rinsed it, of course!) and picked up one of their iced lattes for a £1 in Asda, alongside my yummy cake from Baker Days and super cute Ebay phone case and I was good to go!

The cake itself genuinely tasted like heaven on a plate. Not too sweet or overpowering, I do have a sweet tooth but nobody likes sickly icing and this was far from that! The texture of the cake was soft, light and fluffy; complete perfection. This alongside my iced latte were a match made in heaven. The cake was also filled with a light cream, adding to its beautifully soft texture. Besides my 18th birthday cake, I can honestly say this is probably one of the nicest cakes I have ever tasted and with Baker Days wide range of choices, alongside their personalisation option there is definitely a cake out there for everybody. From good luck cakes to Barclays bank cakes. Birthday cakes to bon voyage cakes and even design it yourself cakes - you can rely on Baker Days to supply you with the perfect goods for your event.

Delivering 6 days a week, if you order your cake a week in advance you'll receive free delivery. All the more reason to become a bit more organised, haha! For parties, letterbox size cakes (the same size as mine!) shall receive a free party pack shipped out in first class post alongside a tin, similarly to the one I received - no extra charge! The first class postage service means that your cake shall be with you in only a couple of days and thus, you can benefit from the full 14 days of freshness! For bigger parties, all large cakes (£56.99 - serves 40 to 55 people) receive a helium balloon and complimentary Baker Days cake slicer, no extra charge. Medium cakes (£36.99 - serves 18 to 25 people) also arrive with the cake slicer. With 6 different delicious cake flavours; vanilla, chocolate, fruit, half and half, gluten free, dairy free - What are you waiting for?
