Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration

It's officially the party season and Thanksgiving is the first event to officially kick start things off. Even though Thanksgiving is traditionally an American celebration, I believe it's important for all of us to reflect back on the past year and think upon everything we have to be grateful for; particularly in wake of the recently tragic events in Paris. Thanksgiving is a time for family and blessing which I think we all need right now as we move into the Christmas season.

I also adore the traditional, autumnal colours of Thanksgiving; it's the perfect excuse to dig out all of the mustard, beige and burgundy! In today's post, I'll be sharing with you two outfit ideas, perfect for Thanksgiving or any other family parties you may have coming up. As this post is in collaboration with the lovely team at Far Fetch I've created one luxury outfit and the other on the value side of the market. Both outfits have been tailored to keep you looking fashion forward yet homely too through the muted, autumnal colour palette. It's time to get inspired this season!

Thanksgiving Outfits

Outfit One:
  • Topshop cropped knitted top by 'Glamorous' | £24 here
Mustard may seem a bit of a daunting colour to wear for most but if you're willing to brave it, this simple Topshop cropped knit shall keep you looking warm and stylish this season.
I'm absolutely in love with the double layered necklace trend at the moment and gold is always the perfect shade for the autumnal season. I think I'll definitely need to add this beauty to my collection whilst it's on sale.
The perfect colour to be worn with mustard, of course has to be burgundy. The deep, muted tones of this shade are the perfect balance for a bright, intense mustard making burgundy the perfect complimentary shade.
  • ASOS 'Right About Now' western pointed chelsea ankle boots | £38 here
The chelsea boot has definitely risen in popularity this past year, if you're not a big fan of heels like me then this option is perfect for you.
You've got your riding shoes on and now you need some gorgeous thigh highs to go with them. These burgundy knitted socks will keep you super warm, adding a cute and girly touch to the outfit. These are definitely a staple for me during the fall and winter season.

Outfit Two:
I've been dying to get my hands on a pair of brogues and this pair are absolutely stunning. The added embellishment of jewels makes these perfect for the party season.
Your ear candy will be completely on point with this pairing. The perfect subtle touch for any family party and if there's ever a time for red then it has to be the Christmas period and so, t'is the season in style with Chanel.
When I was a child, ponchos were the coolest thing around. Of course, Thanksgiving is all about looking comfortable yet stylish, warm yet cool. Originating from the wild west, the burnt orange and yellow tones reflect the most beautiful, autumn sunset; perfect for this season's festivities.
Not only are trousers smart but they are super comfortable too and when you're stuffing your face with food you need to be wearing something a bit more relaxing on the waistline. The elasticated waistband on this makes it even more perfect for any meals you might be attending this season. And of course, black is always on trend.
By now, I think you will have probably noticed that I am a big fan of the crop top. The pop of red round the neckline shall added a lovely, subtle touch above the sunset like imagery featured within the poncho. I also adore the sport luxe edge to this, adding an uber cool vibe to the final look.

I hope you enjoyed this post lovelies, even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving you can of course use this to gain some autumnal outfit inspiration. Let me know in the comments below which item of clothing was your favourite, I personally have fell in love the TOD's shoes! A huge thank you, also to the lovely team over at Far Fetch for partnering with me on this post. Until next time,

How will you be making a statement this party season?!
